Today the Colts entertained a very strong team from the City of Peterborough. Past encounters against this team has resulted in Peterborough running out comfortable winners. It was questioned why are Peterborough in this league.

Saints has a number of Key players missing, but were able to field 20 players against Peterboroughs 18.

The game started very quickly with Saint pressuring Peterborough try line, all that endever paid off with Conner Harrison going over for the first try, the resulting kick was missed Saints 5 - 0. This woke up the opposition they ran straight lines at the defence. Two missed tackles and they scored through the middle. 5 - 7 Peterborough. The pressure maintained, Peterborough kicked for position. Saints lost the resulting line out not straight. Peterborough opted for a scrum, Saint won against the head. Peterborough's no8 some how went around the scrum picked the ball up and carried over the try line. Score given to the amazement of the coaches 5 - 12. after the start Peterborough still contained to pressure. One of their kicks went over the dead ball line, from the resulting drop out of the 22, Peterborough caught the ball and ran through the defence, tackles being missed by a number of key back players to score the final try of the half. It was converted Saints 5 - 19 Peterborough.

The reason why the Saints were loosing was due to missed tackles.

The second half continued in the same vane, both teams trying to find an opening. Saint managed to move into Peterborough's 22 and they won a penalty. Rory asked for the ball to kicked out to get closer to Peterborough's. The line out was solid and a maul was formed. Kieran Arber controlled the ball and the maul moved forward. Billy Haverson saw a gap and took the ball and ran through it. 10 - 19. The match continue with both teams fighting for supremacy, another winning line out in Peterborough's half, the ball went out to the backs,  Rory Diggerman and his dancing feet got past 3 players to put the ball over the line, this time Lucas Town converted. Saints 17 - 19 Peterborough. With only minutes left in the clock Saints Colts were looking ar defeat, Ben Bazley kicked the ball into the dead ball area, Peterborough put the ball down and dropped out very quickly. Sean Judge caught the ball and ran it in to the waiting defence, some quick off loads found the hands of Billy who put it down for his 2nd try right in the corner, Lucas converted. Saints Win 24 - 19
